I can agree with this on one level, but on another level it just goes to state legislatures to debate now. States will have debates about laws and some will make stupid decisions, of which voters have some control over state to state. its not really the end to constitutional rights. Some people will be affected by this, no doubt, but the sky isn’t falling. If all 50 states have issues with abortion being illegal, it could still end up being legal in all 50 states. It will just have to be debated state to state like marijuana legalization is now. Maybe some state legislature will figure out a good adoption system that works to limit abortion. Medical procedures to remove a baby from the womb, yet still allow the baby to live and relieve the mother of responsibility might become a thing. Liberals are going to need to learn to debate better now, rather than standing around a street corner with a witty sign and complaining on social media.
Liberals sure seem reeally good with those anarchist groups...so yep I'd call them liberal...
This guy is dhs in the same way rob is a lawyer. Probably a janitor at a government building.Personally, I have no issue with it being a state issue. As a matter of fact in many ways that looks like an ideal solution. However, our legal system is based on English Common Law, so inevitably, legal interpretations bleed from one state to the next, to the next, etc. So unfortunately, this isn't as simple as move or take a few days off and go to where it's legal because we may see the places where it is legal slowly (or quickly) dwindle.
However, I do have a problem with the new interpretation of abortion rights; specifically because Thomas has come out said this opens the door to striking down all sorts of (liberal) rights based on privacy/the 14th amendment. IMHO, we're about to enter an era of a very activist conservative USSC. I think we're going to see the 14th amendment applied, not applied or revoked based on where a particular right falls on the political spectrum.
I also take exception to Texas basically "deputizing" any and every citizen to enforce anti-abortion laws. IMHO, it's just a matter of time until this results in some wannabe cowboy cop shooting somebody over an abortion.
That said, I can't believe conservatives are turning away from Trump. Trump did more for conservatism than any POTUS since Reagan and he did it 4 years during a pandemic. By packing the court system with so many hard line conservative judges, he's guaranteed the GOP judicial power for decades. Conservative voters should be lined up around the block to kiss his hairy red arse.
Merely because 2 groups interest coincide for a moment in time doesn't make them one in the same. Did freeing all the Taliban fighters to fight ISIS (in Afghanistan) make Trump a member of the Taliban or make the Taliban freedom loving right wing 'mericans?
Yeah but he's no Will Hunting lolThis guy is dhs in the same way rob is a lawyer. Probably a janitor at a government building.
What was ur series?
Without digging into the rest of the post, how in the world was abortion a constitutional right?
And please clarify how its involved with privacy rights?
Drawing on the First, Fourth, Ninth, and Fourteenth Amendments, the Court said that the Constitution protects an individual’s “zones of privacy.” Citing earlier cases that ruled that contraception, marriage, and child rearing were activities included in these “zones of privacy,” the Court found that the zone was “broad enough to encompass a woman’s decision whether or not to terminate her pregnancy.”

Present the data on the “tons and tons” of “horrible side effects”.
Provide a list of countries that have banned the vaccine.
The federal court didn't ban or block anynody...the federal government only has purview over matters explicitly stated in the founding docs...that leaves abortion (and any health care in all honesty) to the states...
That's not a true comparison...Democrat leaders including the vp organized bail funds for the rioters...Biden and dem leadership as a whole vocally endorsed the looting and city burning as a method of "peaceful" protest...
