According to the latest Census data, 9 of the 10 states with the lowest per-person income levels were Red: Mississippi, Arkansas, Idaho, West Virginia, Kentucky, Utah, Alabama, South Carolina and Oklahoma.

They found that, net of history, infant mortality is consistently higher under Republican-controlled state legislatures than non-Republican–controlled ones. Going from a non-Republican–controlled state Congress to a Republican-controlled one is associated with a 4.2% increase in infant mortality and an 8.1% increase in postneonatal mortality.

Red states fall 1.5 percentage points below the national average for high school completion rate (84.2% vs. 85.7%), and 3.3 percentage points below the national average for college degree attainment (25.1% vs. 28.4%).
Blue states, in comparison, perform slightly above the national averages—by 0.8 and 2 percentage points, respectively.

Newsweek found that only four Democratic states (and the District of Columbia) ranked among the top 20 legislatures with the highest firearm murder rate, contrary to what Greene claimed.
The majority in the top 20 voted broadly or strongly Republican.

WalletHub compared all 50 states across two key dimensions: State Residents’ Dependency and State Government’s Dependency. Each dimension was evaluated by three metrics, which were each weighted through a double 50-point-based system. Within State Residents’ Dependency, return on taxes paid to the federal government was worth 37.5 points and share of federal jobs was worth 12.5 points; within State Government’s Dependency, federal funding as a share of state revenue was given a full weight of 50 points.
Eight of the 10 most federally dependent states were Republican, while seven of the 10 least federally dependent states were Democratic, which suggests that overall Republican states are more dependent upon federal assistance than Democratic ones.

4.8 million Californians are on food stamps. That’s more than 10 percent of all people on assistance in the US. You really don’t have the ability to look up honest numbers.
