All my vehicles now have Alpine CDT-hp149bt. I've had my Concord HPL550 and the turn on knob stopped working, so I jumped to Kenwood. Well after having the pcb ribbon going out I made the move Alpine CDE7998 that one ran for 18 years, The only reason I sold it was I didnt want to subject it to dust in the Jeep. Been looking at getting an Alpine ILX-507 for the jeep, but hard to come by.

I put one of those ILX units in my Jeep last winter and can say it's very nice, particularly the quality of the screen, but that line does not have support for remote control which I sorely miss. Whenever this thing breaks I'll probably go back to Sony.

I've previously used a McIntosh MX-401 and McIntosh MX-406. I'm currently using an Alpine CDA-9887 in my car and plan to use my restored Clarion DRZ-9255 in the wife's car.

I have always been Kenwood, excelon when I could afford it. Had 2 Alpines back in the day and they were also excellent.

Kenwood is my choice usually. Alpine is my second. But I just got a Joying Android unit, the smallest screen one(6.2" I believe). This thing if ******* fantastic and has an optical output. Only cost around 350 and the features/options is insane. I probably won't be going back to any other brands if this holds up. My EXcelon kmm x704 will be up for sale soon.

Wish I could fit a half din full screen or full din. The old YJ wont allow it without heavy modification.

They have single din units. That's what I bought. The screen attaches to the front and overhangs a little top and bottom. They might make a kit for your car.
