What annoys the ***** outta you/pisses you off...

So as to not hijack his thread I want to address this here...

"How do you even know that he had the right size fuse in it to begin with? A fire? Let's not be overly dramatic now. I still want to know how the amp was getting power while he was changing the battery? OP must've connected the battery backwards and then turned his stereo on. If that's the case then the amp is gone." - Bobby

Yes a fire. Do you know what blows a fuse? Do you know what melts a fuse holder? Do you know what turns copper cables red?

"...and I was replacing the battery then mistakenly connected it wrong (placed positive terminal in negative connection)" - Hummer100

He said exactly what he did. You and Rob seem to have this issue where you refuse to read before you respond. If you two want people to pay attention to what you have to say then you need to do the same.

Am I mistaken in thinking that he would've had to turn his stereo on with the battery connected backwards for it to pop the fuse? Wouldn't the remote wire have to be activated in order to power the amp up? Then when the remote wire was turned on then the fuse blew.

If you send power through the ground wire, the power would not need to be turned on for It to burn it up. There is no internal protection for power running backwards through the ground wire. Putting an inline fuse on the ground wire itself could have stopped it I suppose. The electricity traveled through the whole amp board before it even hit fuses meant to protect it.

Edited cause I think I was wrong

I thought amps don't get power until the remote wire turns it on. I'm probably wrong. I'm trying to figure out how the OP hooked his battery up backwards. He must've bought a battery that had the positive and negative on the opposite sides from the battery that he was replacing.

The Cali USCIS shooting, the dallas shooting, the orlando shooting, the colorado shooting last year just to name a few all on the radar but dropped and they moved on to PTA moms... And of course dropped by the media after it was shown, the feds knew.

Yep. I’ve been burned by my Walmart before with that. Sadly my latest HD purchase was a battery powered weedeater and the battery was swiped. I got to my truck and returned it immediately. Went to the section and all 4 boxes were all opened with the batteries missing.
