Bobby, your opinion is poop

It's still my opinion and you can't tell me whether my opinion is right or wrong. I don't see any problem with requiring mental health background checks, age limits to own certain types of weapons, and limiting ownership of high capacity magazines, bump stocks, and fully automatic weapons. You can call me crazy all you want. It won't affect my opinion in the least.

Ahhh, I clicked the map pin and it brought up the map automatically.
1. It is a vaccine by the very definition.
2. It was never touted as a cure.
3. A vax never created the immunity. It’s your body that does it.
4. Yes, government does not always make sense. For example, I can’t imagine living in Canada where it’s illegal to prepare for self defense. Insane to me. But I assume mandated vaccines existed there before this pandemic (?).
5. Numbers are showing that the vax is having a positive effect. Covid-caused hospitalizations here are 99% or better unvaccinated people. That strongly suggests the vax is reducing the severity for tens of thousands.
What statistics or info are you using to determine the vax does nothing?

I am talking reasonably with you and presenting factual info. Unlike others here, if I disagree, I state and support my argument instead of namecalling or threatening.
Feel free to do the same.
I'm not saying the vax does nothing
I'm saying its not a cure
Taking does not mean your not going to get it
Taking does not mean your not going to spread it
It just makes the symptoms more manageable so hopefully you don't die from it but even that's not 100%
So what is the point of the government making it mandatory
My bigger problem is the lack of reason to the rules around it
And no we have no other mandatory vax programs here
I'll the numbers are showing a positive side when it comes to all this but they are all over the place
Yes the decline is probably from the vax but at this point covid is just part of our everyday life
You don't see the news outlets reporting the number of flu patients every day
This is the new normal, its never going to go away
Mandating send a fucked up message that if get this your safe

For the record I can't imagine living in a world where everyone has a gun
But that's the world I know, Yours is different.
Not better, not worse, just different.

Why do you care about "certain types of weapons"? Is it because they look scary or because the people on TV say so? I am curious because if a bullet from a 9mm handgun goes through your brain or a bullet from an AR-15 gores through your brain they are going to have the same outcome. You can buy bolt on accessories for both types of firearms and extended magazines for both. So why restrict one over another? You can modify both types to be full auto as well. Is it ignorance of firearms or fear... or both?

Not necessarily Bobby, but psych studies have shown that people who are VERY anti-gun have deep-seated fears that THEY would not be able to maintain self control if they had access to a gun at all times.

Similarities exist with other people who are vehemently against something.

Yes, like CoolHand said, full auto is not something you can go down to your local store and buy. The only people who can get full auto stuff is law enforcement or SOT's.

The exception is "transferrable" pre-1986 registered machine guns. The cheapest ones you can buy are MAC-10's, and they're around $10,000 now. A few years ago before the corona bullshit, they were still $7,000.

I'd like to get something full auto for my collection some day.

Laws exist to keep honest people honest. Criminals don't obey the law. Most guns used in crimes are stolen.

I carry daily for piece of mind. Any idiot can go to the kitchen section at Walmart, grab a big kitchen knife, and start hacking people up. Some people are inherently bad. I'd at least like to increase my odds against a crazy person.

It is in court still and will be for awhile. There is not a single reason for anyone to have a bump stock. I've seen someone shoot one at a range before the ATF ruled them illegal and yeah it might as well be classified a full auto accessory. I've shot fully automatic weapons in my life multiple times and I see no difference between the two. They should be illegal or classified under the Class 3 like other fully automatic guns.

Since when does need dictate legality?
