I never claimed to be "smarter" than those who "edit" the dictionary... by the way, there is more than one dictionary, I said they made a mistake. By THE dictionary, I refer to the Oxford, as I did when we discussed that specific word. The Oxford is considered the top of the food chain of dictionaries, hence my use of THE as opposed to the or The.It’s like saying Chuck Norris is THE man. That paints him as top of the food chain of men. The guy who choked someone to death with a cordless phone.
In that argument, you said both the Oxford AND Eastwood Spring did not know the definition of a word, but YOU did. You also said humans are not fallible, implying both groups erred in their definition due to human fallibility. That would also suggest every other dictionary erred too.
