If you do not see it with your own two eyes, live as it happens and you get your information second hand that is the point where you need all of the information from both sides, common sense and the ability for abstract thought. At best, if you don't see the act with your own two eyes the best you can do is come up with the most logical conclusion bases on all the information given.
