By time Nixon was speaking to the people they were speaking at the 10th grade level, Clinton at the 9th grade level and Bush/Kerry collectively at 7th/8th grade level.
All those men are exceptionally well educated, Clinton, being a Rhodes Scholar. This should not be viewed as the quality of their education, rather it's about to whom they are speaking. They dumbed down the masses intentionally. Watch the news, they are supposedly talking to the more educated American public, what grade level are they speaking? The fact is Trump, Biden, Harris, Bush's Bill Clinton (and he is actually impressively smart) are all unworthy of the attention they garner.
