Are the little cylinder's in the middle vents? I'm not too educated on how speakers work; but if their vents, won't that mess with compression?

Actually those are the voice coil formers, they extend out the front for cooling purposes... and work very well I might add.

Now this is what I like to-C! Some of the best old school products were produced in the 80's into the early 90's .. .. .. Very Nice ! Wish I had some pics of some of my first installs in the mid late 90's. Many props here . . . Very Nice!

Not real sure if Sony had the Mobile ES back then (80's) . . But I couldn't help but notice the Sony sticker LOL . . . . What kind of amps did you have running this setup?
