your biggest car audio mistake...

Okay by far the dumbest move I ever made was turning my system up past half way, lets just say that having to replace all you windows isn't fun or cheap

When I was new to car audio I wired my three 12W6's in paralell which gave me an impedance of something like .5 ohms on an amp rated at 4 minimum. Thats before I knew what impedance was. Luckily I learned my lesson with a cheap amp instead of the PPI A1200 I had on layaway at the time ($1389.00).

here was a stupid one i did todaywent to throw in my new soundstream edge 4120, and like an idiot i toss my ground and power aside for a second then "POP" huge ass green spark cause the two wires touched. go check my inline fuse and sure enough its blown

so this is on christmas day so i have to wait a whole day for a fuse to hear what this amp sounds like just because i was so careless :thumbsdow
Good reason why you disconnect your battery lol. If you disconnected it, you wouldnt have had to wait till the 26th lol

I agree with every one above. OFC is much better. Copper is a much better conductor than aluminum.

I do not see a problem with an addition of up to a 600 RMS Class D mono amplifier with 4 ga OFC wiring supply kit and be fine. It would be...
