I am planning on putting two 12's in my car. The only problem is that ]I don't know what to go with. It's either between the MTX TR4512-44 or the Rockford Fosgate R2D4-12. Can someone tell which has the better sound quality? Which one hits harder if they are going to be put in a 2007 Ford Mustang Convertible? They both cost about the same and they both have Dual Voice Coil (I don't know what that means). Which ever one I do go with, they will be put in a sealed box (if that makes a difference).

dual voice coils means it has 2 voice coils?....gives u no better power or preformance just gives u better options for wiring.

and i wouldnt go with either of them id try and stay away from them both.

for a decent price start out with the AQ SDC 2.5

If your going to use a sealed enclosure, I would recommend a pair of SSA Dcon 12s, the AQ's would be nice as well.

all i can say is i have had some mtx 7500 12" and they beat so hard with 800 watts going into them . i currently still use mtx and never have ever been disappointed!! my brother has 2 5500 and has had them for over 4 years and they still beat to this day . mtx makes quaility products , i hear rockford blows easily . of course any sub can blow if you don't know what your doing with it but . id choose mtx any day of the week over rockford . if you can find decent prices on ,mtx jump on it!!
