soo... i made my main cuts for my box off ALL 3/4 mdf and i noticed i forgot to add a double baffle into the original plans.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

box: 3.8 cubes @ 32hz

sub: fi bl 15

amp: saz 1500.1

question is.. is it necessary or am i fine?

if you have the extra wood, it never hurts. or you could always make a nice flush mount piece for it that acts as a double baffle (except for the part thats cut out) lol
Flush mount on the inside just enough wood for the cutout??

im lost... can somebody explain

//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/word.gif.64b12e39f936af3b4fff38a1c0bd0244.gif 1" vs 3/4" mdf is a factor as well.
Every cut is 3/4" mdf //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

give us a picture of it. i'd say with that sub if the face is over 22'' then add another baffle.
Nothing is assembled yet..

I only have the pieces cut out but the front face is

28.5 x 15 inches

How much is adding a baffle going to throw off my internal cubic volume..

and effect port tuning?

for daily driver setups, a double baffle for a heavy woofer is a good idea, but a single baffle with bracing behind it will be stronger than a double baffle with no bracing for sure.

It won't affect your vol or tuning because you can just add it to the outside of the box.
