You can do it but there is two main things to remember.

The really cold weather makes the glue holding the speaker together brittle and weaker then they normally would be.

Due to all the speakers soft parts stiffining up the speakers sound characteristics will be completely different, IE- like crap.

Car audio is a difficult hobbie in Canada as we only have 4 or 5 months of the year where we can really enjoy it. Oh well, at least it gives us time to save up some money.

when living in upstate NY near the border, i never hear anyone wanging their systems when its cold out. i didn't have subs installed last winter but i beat on my factory speakers to drown out the blower noise.

I live in Saskatchewan, and I have 2 type-r 12's in my trunk.. what I do is just lay off the subs when its really cold. If its a -15 degree day or colder, leave the bass down so low that you can barely feel it. If it's between 0 and -15 go easy on them, but let them warm up for 20 minutes first, by playing music and gradually increasing the volume of the subs to warm them up. If its melting, go hard! I pump the R's at 720w rms @ 1 ohm as loud as they go and its like +1 Celcius here. Also, I find working outside to be a real ***** when its cold and dark //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
