amp help for 1 alpine type r

ok so im planning on buying a type r for sure and i need an amp and im planning on giving the type r anywhere from 450 to watever it can take and im planning on spending 300 at the most on the type r and an amp... so my question is do i get a 2 ohm or a 4 ohm dvc sub???

and for which ever sub do i get a 1 channel amp or 2 channel?? i was thinkin about getting a Profile 1000m which claims the output at 1 channel at 500 watts for 2 ohms.. but i dont kno if that would work..HELP please

This amp is prolly good for 500 watts at 1 ohm. If you get this one get the DVC 2 ohm version

This amp will do 500 at 2 ohms. So you'll need the DVC 4 ohm with this amp

Don't worry about sending these subs more than RMS rating of 500, they can take it. Just make sure you don't clip the signal coming from your amp and you'll have no problems.

I have no experience with the profile amp, but it'll probably do close to rated, hopefully some1 can chime in

so i should definately get a mono amp or a 2channel amp that can bridge right??

ive heard that mono amps are better than dual channel..is this true??

What size type R are you getting. If you get a 10 or a 12 They can put out up to 500rms. If it was me I would get a 12 (a lil better sensitivity). But its up to you.
