Hi, I am new to this forum and was looking for some help/suggestions. I had a car battery drain issue and my mechanic did a draw test and told me the amplifier was at fault. He said it does not shut down sometime and draws 0.5 amp of current when it fails to shut down. He recommended I have a car audio guy take a look at it. I had the amp and HU installed when I was living in Dallas 5 years ago. It is a aftermarket JL audio amp. I don't use the audio system much and it works fine when I use it. I am hoping I don't have to replace the amp. Is it possible to install a relay to help shut down the amp when the key is removed from the ignition? Any recommended places in central NJ that can help.

Thanks

It would also be easy to add an equalizer to have individual rca inputs for all of the channels. A decent one can be had for less than $40...

I agree with every one above. OFC is much better. Copper is a much better conductor than aluminum.
