Well it did it again (I think) I havent pulled the speaker yet. What is the best solution to stop those jumpers from coming out? Just use speaker wire to connect the two terminals?

After further inspection today,the jumper that Alpine provides to wire the subs with came loose disabling the coil. Speaker is still operational now. I feel dumb.

The only clue that I'm going off of right now is that it is not hitting like it use too,and its not hitting like the other sub. I haven't pulled it from the box and inspected it yet.

I just got two new Alpine swr12d2's hooked up to a kicker zxs1500.1. They have only been hooked up for about three weeks or so, and I believe one of the voice coils is already blown on one of the subs. They are seeing less than 800 Watts per sub, and they are rated to handle 1000 rms. Anyone...

I have two of the swr-12d2's powered by a kicker zxs1500.1. I never heard any of the old type R's but these new ones sound pretty good. My zxs does 1583@2ohms and the subs take it like a champ. My enclosure is 1.5 cu ft per chamber at 35 hertz. Running off a factory Dodge ram head unit.

I own 2 of the 2012 type r 12" subs. At the moment they are sitting on my bedroom floor waiting for my box. Can't help with a review.

Well my amp came in, and I am really surprised at how small the amp is for a 1500 watt amp. My last amp kx1200.1 was probably twice the length. My ram wont have any problems powering the zx on a factory electrical system will it?

I went ahead and ordered two new SWR-12D2's which is the 2012 type r. I got two of them new shipped on ebay for 300.

What about a fuse block, what amp fuse do i need to go with?

I just ordered a new kicker zxs1500.1 amp, and am needing to know what gauge power wire i need for the amp? I used to have a kx1200.1 on 4 gauges, would that be enough wire?

I just looked on alpines website and the type r is only 600rms. Alpine Electronics of America, Inc.
