How big of a flash will Pioneer front USB accept?

Pioneer Support basically told me that there is no limit, that it didn't work that way, and that the specs point to USB 2.0 compatability. However I am still skeptical that this is accurate in real life usage. It's not just the ability for the head unit to list all the files, but also the...

How big of a flash will Pioneer front USB accept?

This might be a worthy email question to Pioneer support. I'll post their response here.

How big of a flash will Pioneer front USB accept?

I have a Pioneer DEH-P7200HD with a front end usb port. It's pretty nice but I am using half a dozen 1 gig flash drives I already had. I'd prefer to use a bigger stick or possibly even a massive flash drive but I can't find any spec's on what the unit will handle. It has to have the memory to...

    Need help.....

Yea, anything is possible, what do I recommend? Do what I said first so you know what the problem is. Otherwise you're just guessing and being lazy about doing the work to find out. Noone on this forum can tell you what the problem is, only you have access to your stuff, so follow advice and...

    Need help.....

It sounds like they are out of phase which means the polarity of one of them is reversed from the other one. With the speakers disconnected from the AMP hook a 1.5 V battery to the Speaker wires. If you hook positive to positive and negative to negative the speaker will pop out slightly. If...

What should i do with it...

I see 16 holes, you said you had 6 subs right? So your planning on putting some more money into this and really going all out? If you're really going to fill all those holes then of course fill them with all the same model speaker if possible, it will look better and sound snappier and more...

got front comps, not need a sub.

If you already have it might as well try it. It looks ok on paper. Question is does it get too hot, and are the specs accurate. Will it last? I haven't seen any bad reviews of it, but it's not available at most good review sites either. But, I think it should sound just fine and shouldn't...

How to determine in phase vs. out of phase

Assuming the mids /highs are where they should be the phasing WILL match speaker polarity though for a typical installation. That is my original point. you will have coherent push towards the driver with all speakers hooked to matched polarities, hence a batt will do the trick.

    Amp Killing my Battery, help!

Agreed and I wouldn't worry about the big 3 either for a few hundred watts but that's just me. You should still be within aux power capabilities. It would help though. It's just not critical with your current needs.

    Amp Killing my Battery, help!

What he said, and get the biggest batt you can get if you have an unusually small battery, also you might see if you can get an optima type battery to fit in there, they are more expensive, but worth it for efficiency and speed of both draw and charging capabilities. If an isolator is already...

How to determine in phase vs. out of phase

Good point although for the average installation such as the one typically described in a car there is no difference. I was wondering myself since I have rear firing sub if it would make a difference if I reversed, but since the rear of the speaker is blocked and the place it's pointed at...

How to determine in phase vs. out of phase

I'd start with a 1.5 V battery. It's enough to determine phase on most speakers, If you can't see movement then by all means work your way up. And obviously a sound meter that measures phase, is a sound meter that determines phase. Pretty simple although I agree with your sentiment that it is a...

    Amp Killing my Battery, help!

Your battery should be fine with that Amp. Your other battery must have been ready to go, or perhaps your alternator wasn't charging it. Connect your stuff up and use your car right. It's made to run and as far as I can tell your Amp is a good power level for a general purpose Amp. But it's...

Termlab results + Cops in my yard!

I was waiting in the DMV parking lot for it to open so I could be near the front of the line and some guy in a truck rolled up pumping some really low bass. I couldn't hear the music, just the rumble. I swear to you I thought I was experiencing an earthquake. I saw my car shaking and the...

    Non rap bass songs?

The last few days I've been enjoying some Steely Dan, Stan Getz, UB40, And Stevie Ray Vaughn. All have excellent Bass Riffs and tones on most songs. Also, if your an Eagles Fan and haven't seen the Farewell One Concert Vid or the soundtrack do yourself a favor, It's better than the originals and...
