I have this Sony amp (Sony XM-ZR1852 specs).

says 400 Watt - 4 Ohm - 20 - 20000 Hz - THD 1.0% - 1 channel(s)

I hear everywhere sony wallmart **** is junk. Is this even worth getting a sub for?

I Was thinking getting one 12, around $150-200 dollars, and running it off of this amp.

I have some Diamond audio d352's in the front, running bridged on a alpine MRP-F250. The highs sound wonderfull, however i have no lows what so ever, and want atleast a nice, quality sub too fill in the blank untill i get money too get a new amp.

or do i just throw this amp at a wall and start from scratch?

If you are keeping that amp, however it would not be the best match.

If you already have it might as well try it.

It looks ok on paper. Question is does it get too hot, and are the specs accurate. Will it last?

I haven't seen any bad reviews of it, but it's not available at most good review sites either.

But, I think it should sound just fine and shouldn't have any problems powering a 200 dollar 12" Sub..

I Want too hit a wide range of lows. thinken pheonix gold, RE, JL?

sub doesnt have too be 12".

I can probably spend up too 250 dollars.
