And while I'm at it, might as well list the possible woofer replacement drivers for under the seats:

8" Woofers under Front Seats

- Earthquake SWS-8 / SWS-8X (4/2 ohm)

- Top Mount Depth: 2 1/8"

- Product Link: SWS The Original Shallow Woofer

- Installation Link: SWS 8 upgrade with MTX amp! - BMW 3-Series (E90 E92) Forum - E90Post.com

- Note: This is a sub-woofer, not a midbass driver! (mid-bass can be made to sound OK with digital processing)

- Hertz Space 8*

- Top Mount Depth: 42 mm

- Product Link: http://www.hertzaudiovideo.com/Doc/SchedaTecnica_space.pdf

- Installation Link: 2009 M3 with custom Audio, radar, and laser system - BMW M3 Forum (E90 E92)

- Note: Best used as midbass driver (bandpassed)

- Morel ADMW SW 9

- Top Mount Depth: 71 mm

- Product Link: Morel Loudspeakers - Mobile Audio - Subwoofers - ADMW SW

- Installation Link: Install fail, and our repair, in a 1-series (image intensive) - BMW 3-Series (E90 E92) Forum - E90Post.com

- Note: Best used as midbass driver (bandpassed). Requires 3/4" spacer ring and Morel grille to protect cone & surround from floor carpet.

- Kicker SSMB8* (Thanks Technic!)

- Top Mount Depth: 59 mm

- Product Link: Kicker SSMB8 SS Series 8" midbass speakers at Crutchfield.com

- Installation Link: BMW 3-Series (E90 E92) Forum - View Single Post - Aftermarket Replacement Speakers List

- Note: According to Technic, much better midbass driver than SWS-8, but not as good at sub-bass frequencies (30-40Hz), i.e. you will need an additional sub. Requires 1/2" spacer ring to fit enclosure and 1/4" shim underneath OEM grilles. Carpet needs to be cut away under seat rails to prevent surround hitting it but looks stock once seats installed.

- Jehnert XE 200

- Top Mount Depth: 50 mm

- Product Link: Jehnert woofer

- Installation Link: 2011 Audio Upgrade Completed, Summery, Overview and Photos - BMW 3-Series (E90 E92) Forum - E90Post.com

- Note: Requires spacers (thickness unknown). Manufacturer recommends the use of a subsonic filter starting at 80 Hz, suggesting this driver is optimized for mid-bass ("kick bass") and perhaps not well suited for sub-bass.

- Morel MW 265-4

- Top Mount Depth: 69 mm

- Product Link: https://www.madisound.com/store/product_info.php?products_id=613products_id613

- Installation Link: BMW 1 Series Coupe Forum / 1 Series Convertible Forum (1M / tii / 135i / 128i / Coupe / Cabrio / Hatchback) (BMW E82 E88 128i 130i 135i) - View Single Post - 2011 Base Stereo Upgrade

- Note: Requires spacers (min. 3/4" thick but may vary depending on car and model year).

- Renaissance WR-8

- Top Mount Depth: 69 mm

- Product Link: Renaissance Audio Group

- Note: Dimensions seem to be identical to the Morel MW265-4. I am still checking to see if there are any substantial differences between the two. This driver has a very high power handling (200W) and a very low resonant frequency (30Hz) so it can almost be used like a subwoofer. Requires spacers (min. 3/4" thick but may vary depending on car and model year).

* may no longer be available new, so check eBay.

I have some never installed Morel MW-267's you might be interested in...

Ram, I looked at those over on SSA when you posted them. From what I can tell of them, are they not better in the 50-800Hz range rather than sub bass duty?

Hifonics Series VII Gemini 50x4@4ohms Hifonics Series VII Zeus 900x1@4ohms $500/shipped for the pair
Thanks for the offer, but Im going to pass on these. If I were going to run hifonics they would need to be from the late 90s.

i have a pretty much brand new set of 4" Boston Rally componets
Googling specs...Ill PM you if Im interested. Can you confirm they are the Boston Rally RC420?

i also have an original MB Quart 8" 3way componet set bnib...not sure of mounting depths a very high end set...German made not maxxsonic crap
Now Id love to have these, but the 8" locations are underneath the rear seats. This would **** for any mid-bass speakers. Its really only ideal for subwoofers. I will however think it over and do some searching on them. Like above Ill PM you if I can use them.

They're actually very similar to the MW-265 and WR-8 that you have in the original post, just more recent and upgraded. Slightly more xmax, power handling, motor strength and a gs in the mid 20's.

I am building and selling the subs. Like to get input on if basket colors options would be a winner. I do custom painting on guns already.
