I have this amp running at 4ohms driving a Tempest, but am considering stepping up to a TCSounds sub and would end up at 1.5ohms. PG tech said they do not "recommend" this, but that the only issue is the amp will run a little warmer and they have lots of people running it down to 1ohm. My interpretation is that it's ok to run down to 1.5-1ohm, but PG won't warranty that, no biggie.

My question is theoretically what power should it put out at a 1.5ohm load if it's rated at 1000@2ohm? And would it in theory be 1500@1ohm? TIA...Mike

Considering a 15" TC2000 or dual 12" TC1000's. The 2000 would give me a 1.5ohm load.

Also looking at dual 12" RL-p's. Want something louder than what I have, with the same SQ, but also efficient enough to drive off of 500watts if I go with 2 subs.
