zx750 bass knob same as kx2500?

I have a kx2500 but it didn't come with a remote bass knob but my buddy just got a zx750 and it came with a bass knob and he said I could have it. I'm just wondering if it would work with my kx2500.

Also have a few questions about the remote bass knob.

It controls the gain right...not the bass boost?

When you turn the bass knob all the way up is it just going to whatever the gain is set to? Or does it actually turn the gain ALL the way up?

Yes it will work. IMO, I wouldn't use bassboost, it can quickly become a distortion knob. I don't use my bass knob with my zx2500.1

I thought I read on here somewhere that it controlled the gain NOT the bass boost.

Ok just makin sure because what Lakota said it sounded like he was saying it controlled the bass boost.

So back to my other question....when I turn the remote bass knob all the way up does it turn the gain all the way up or does it turn it to where I actually have the gain set on the amp?

turns up to where your max setting is on the amplifier.

Alright so if I just had the gain on the actual amp turned up halfway and I turn the remote bass knob up all the way the gain is actually turned up halfway?
