ZX350.4 fader button

I just noticed on my ZX350.4 that between the high-level and RCA inputs, there's a button labeled 'Fader'. What does that do? I tried looking on Kicker's site, but it's down ATM.

you push it in when you run 2 sets of RCA cables through the amp. and if you are just using one set put it so its out. it basically controles the RCA outputs depending on how many speakers you are running

IF YOU'RE RUNNING ACTIVE DOOOO NOOOOTTTT TURN IT ON!!!! I had it on accidently when I installed my SEAS neo tweets and it blew em immediately, it sends the signals from both sets of RCAs through all speaker inputs.
If your running active you want it pushed in. Pushed out is when it sends the death-signal, haha. Just clarifying this, as for some stupid reason being pushed in is 'off' and being sticking out is 'on'. Seems backwards to me.

Here's the specifics:

Fader Button: You can connect one or two pairs of input cables to the amplifier. If only one pair of inputs is available, the amp's Fader button allows you to feed signals to all four channels from the single input pair. In this case, the fader of the source unit will not affect the output of the amplifier. If two pairs of inputs are available, the amp's Fader button should be pushed in (Off Position), allowing you to use the fader of the source unit to control the front to rear volume of the amplifier.

EXACTLY!!!!!

That's what happened to me.. I thought "HMM PUSHED IN IS PROBABLY TO THE ON POSITION, I'LL LEAVE IT OUT!!" took me forever to figure out what happened. I will NEVER use Kicker amps again, not just for that reason lol

Lmao I made sure to read the manual 100x before actually powering it on because I read it and I was like wtf this can't be right, how is pushed in 'off'? So I read it like 1000000 times to make sure I didn't smoke my tweeters, lmao. That is stupid design on Kicker's behalf IMO.

Glad to hear I'm not the only one who thinks that's stupid though. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

VERY stupid.
EDIT: I see in your sig you might switch to sundown 100.4, exactly what I'm doing //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
haha, //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/woot.gif.aaa6090e619a97b6090d16dd863c5a69.gif

//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif. it's just got so many options that I won't use since my HU is already active capable, feels like a waste. Plus that thing is monsterously sized, which LOOKS amazing, but space-wise for me it's gonna be interesting //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif.
