Zombies!!! Strategy Guides and Tips (Black Ops.)

So i'm actually fairly new to black ops, I've only had my PS3 less than a month. That said, I've already figured out some great zombie strategies and i'd like to compile some, because 95% of the Zombies players reaaalllly **** balls. (most of these tips will be based on the map "kino der toten." I've only made it to lvl 27 so far, but believe me this is largely because I find it impossible to find a good team of 4 and most of my friends have Xbox, so i'm alone most of the time. This brings me to my first tip....

1. "It only takes 1 bad player to kill the team"

Got a team with 3 players with top levels around 30 and one around 7? leave... that player will open doors at wrong times and not cover areas he should 90% of the time. (caution. I've noticed a tendency for the leader board to randomly change what highest round it reports, I've learned that this is a known glitch, and leader boards are not always accurate.)

2. "Stick to your own darn window."

In the initial first rounds (before the first door is opened), Pick a window and stick too it. Don't go to other peoples windows, don't shoot at the zombies in their windows. Why? It's bad manners and many seasoned players will quit and not waste their time with you.

3. "Safe is not secure."

A rule of thumb in Zombies is that you should only be as safe as you need to be at the time. For example: you can easily buy a shotty before zombie #1 comes knocking and secure your ability to take out every zombie in the round by yourself in one hit. But by doing so, you've ignored the fact that you could've easily knifed every zombie in the level, gotten 4x the points and not wasted the 500 on the gun. So the object is not to be as prepared as possible, but to match your tactics to the requirements of the level you are on. Another example, don't use the thunder gun when you have a perfectly good MP40 which will sufficiently kill the approaching hoard by well-aimed headshots giving you many many more valuable points and the additional perk of the chance for power-up drops.

4. "Knock knock... Come In."

In the early rounds (pre-door opening) LET THE ZOMBIES IN. You can still easily manage them with 4-5 shots of your pistol and a knife or 2, and letting them through the window is the only way to find power-ups.

5. "Power-ups... freind or foe?"

This relates to tip 3... Certain power-ups should be avoided if possible until certain times. This is a hard one for some cause your first reaction is to leap forward and take the shiny thing, but sometimes hesitation has its benefits. Nukes are great if you are an inch from death, but otherwise they waste THOUSANDS of valuable points you could've received by killing them the good old fashion way. Thus like I said, just because the bomb is safer and easier, doesn't make it the right choice if you can avoid it. Likewise, fire sales should be stalled till as close to the end of the round as possible so that you can spend less effort on zombies and more effort on shopping. Use your head, if the last zombie of the round drops a double points, leave it as long as possible till you have more zombies to kill.

...More to Come

(some of this stuff seems arbitrary, but you'd be surprised.)
