Zane,Audiolife,Experts. Help on SQ Setup

Hello... Zane and Audiolife I requested you because You have in the past, posted good replies. You seem to be experienced in this field.

Anyone else with knowledge in this area may also help.

I have been installing locally four the past few years. And would like to think I know my stuff, but living in a rural area I don't get to see a lot of new products. So what I would like you guys help with is selecting the woofer or woofers to suite my taste. First of all I am seeking

1.) SQ

2.) Small Enclosure Size 2cu ft after displacement(2.5-3 before)

3.) 2 Ohm load

4.) S.P.L.

I have a 91 Ford Explorer fully sound deaden and dampened. Set-up for SQ. Sub Amp will be Sound Stream 700SX

MONO-RMS

8 Ohm-350

4 Ohm-500

2 Ohm-700

1 Ohm-700

I was thinking along the lines of two 12’s or 2 15’s but any recommendations are welcome. I am on a budget. oh Are hifonic’s Gen X subs any good ?

I'll step up, even if its just to bump this to the top.

If you haven't already, see if you can test out a couple of Infinity Perfects. The only problem is the SPL, their almost purely SQ subs, that's the word from the grapevine, LOL. I have some 10" Solo-Baric L7's, and with some tweeking they can be both SQ and SPL subs. It doesn't work quite as well with the 15's though. Just my 2 cents.

If you gave a price range it would help me decide better. But some names to start you off with

1) Adire Audio Brahma- Awesome SQ w/ good SPL $350?

2) Adire Audio Shiva- Awesome SQ decent SPL $125

3) Eclipse Ti- Awesome SQPL sub- Very expensive $$?

4) Alumapro Alchemy- Awesome SQ, decent SPL $250?

5) IDQ- Great SQ, decent SPL price not sure.

There are many more just gave some examples, if you really want a huge breakdown, I think there was a post a while back that listed a whole bunch of SQ and SPL subs. Just do a search, then research what you think will fit your setup.

for sq i like diamond the best, see if you can listen to some of their subs, they rock.

if you get a deal they aren't too expensive, I know i'm on a budget and I can get some good ones!

Check out the M6 or MD subs for SQ.
