so angry right now. I was messing around with my mids/highs amp at work during some free time i had but never finished what i was doing. So instead of putting it back under my seat i just layed it on top of the folded down seats in the back so i could finish up when i got home. Now it has been raining all day but stopped when i left. So theres a lot of puddles on the ground and what not.

Well im stopped at a red light with my front windows down. Theres a big deep puddle in the lane next to me that everyone was avoiding. Well Some ******* idiot in a huge lifted truck comes speeding by and rams through this big puddle and water goes 10ft+ in the air. Flys through my front window just right and totally soaks me, my center console, seat AND MY AMP with nasty street puddle water. Amp is covered in water i pulled over and dried it off.

Haven't tested it yet as it started raining again once i got home. But the top, sides, vents, channels everything got wet Wanted to chase that ****** down so bad. A door speaker might be fried too but i think it remained dry. Doesn't matter anyways i got new components on the way and my current ones are cheap 6x8 coaxails. Amp was a $130 clarion. Not a good day.

Put the amp in a box with an open bag of uncooked rice. Might be able to salvage it.
Always heard about for wet ipods never thought it worked. I would do it if i had like... 5 bags of rice haha. an amp is a lil bigger than an mp3 player =o

we had some stuff at my last job desicant same stuff in bags of beef jerkey but it was real dark blue and turned pink when it soaked up as much as it could stuff was awesome . ive used contact cleaner also on smaller electronic things that got wet

yeah that ***** but thats like eating geasey BBQ with white gloves on dude your gonna get messy
Well its only like 2 miles drive home from work and it wasnt TOO wet out there was just that one huge puddle on the side of the road that everyone was turning around. Until some idiot speeds by and rams through it just to show off i guess lol.

Rice is cheap lol

I have no clue if it would fix it but $10 in rice isn't a huge blow to the budget I hope, the thing wasn't powered when it got wet, so you may luck out.

If you go to those Asian stores you can buy the big fuggin bag.

Off to dollar general!

honestly i would be one of those idiots who would blow through a large puddle.

now if your one of those idiots who drives around on a rainy day with a window down............. you cant really be expecting some sympathy..

anyways, if you wipe down the amp you should be good.

if water really got inside of the amp, you can use compressed air, or pour the rice inside of the amp housing and then blow it out aftwards with canned air.
