I gave up on the whole idea of surfing the web on my cell phone. Cell phones are just too **** small to make the experience fun, rewarding, and easy. What Im not sure is what this technology has over the already-released verizon based notebooks of basically the same size (folded up) but that also include a real keyboard.

You have to give credit where credit is due. In a climate where a new cell phone is obsolete within 6 months based on newer and better models coming out, the i-phone has had very good staying-power. Yes its had upgrades, and yes it could be argued there are better out there today, but considering how long that basic model has been around, its something of a modern marvel. And this is coming from someone who has absolutely no love for Apple in general.
