hey all i just gotta tell someone...i finally got my first amp/sub combo...i cant wait to install it but i bought my wiring kit off ebay last week so i have to wait...just wanted to thank all that answered my stupid questions i have learned so much crap it is kikass...oops cant say that oh well everyone wish me luck on my first install

hey man your in the same boat i am. i came on this board with minimal knowledge but now i have the confidence to install and design my own systems...and that's what i did. my stuff should all be arriving by the end of the month

man, yall are lucky, my parents are like, anti-system people. they think bass and loud music is from the devil.

you 20 and 30 yr olds r gonna laugh at me, but i dont care, to a 16 year old, parents can be very annoying.

the thing that makes me mad is i have way more than enough money to do whatever i want in car audio...... and they wont let me do anything fancy. but ill sneak a sub and amp in sometime..... he he he

Man, my parents were the same way.

but now that i have subs, and a nice speakers and crap my dad is like "durn, i need to get one of those in my Jeep." He's got one of the Grand Cherokee's w/ the full amped Infinity Golds.. Sounds nice. but needs more depth

that's cool man good job on your first system. my first system sucked i must admit all pre-fab but then i learned the ways of the wise due to my buddy's at work and this message board so now i'm working on having a very nice system. yeah my dad was against me getting my window's was like it will look dumb blah blah it's a bad way to spend $100. then i get it done come home with limo tint on all the window's except the front doors he was like wow that looks really good.

My parents are totally anti system too. Just got my subs running about 3 days ago, and of course the parents have commented on how it is way too loud.

man, i thought my parents were bad, course, im part of the problem i found this message board way to late. i had bought a pair of crappy old subs used from a friend, had no amp, then bought an amp for them, and they really sucked@$$, then i bought better, but still crappy subs new and then blew the first amp. of course i had promised that the subs would be the last thing i bought for a year, but i cant go around without tunes, so i convinced my mom to let me buy my current amp. BLAAAHHHHHH!!! i am banned from upgrading unless i by some turn of fate convince my parents to like car audio.

my dad helped me install my system. He thinks its sweet, but he also realizes I am not a dumb ***. In neighborhoods and late at night my system is turned down. For all you other people that have audio nazi parents just picture the end of braveheart "FREEDOM!!!" I feel your pain guys.

" why in the he!! do you want to waste your time and money " Well after got a decent system installed in my car. I had my parents listen to it. I proved to them that all the power and subs and such didn't have to mean loud. It was more about a full balanced sound. My dad fell in love. Years later everytime my mom won't by a car with a factory system. She waits and has me do it for her. First systems are always nice..im gonna get my own very first system here in about a month!

As far as the anti-system partents..I am sorry for all those that have em. My parents are both really huge car buffs..the faster and louder the freaking thing is the better!
