Yay For Fiberglass

Nope. Not yet. Woofer needs to arrive ... then I can make the baffle and mount it. The box will be finished most likely the same day I get the driver ... which should be any time now.

Nice, show us the finished product. I'm thinking about making a fiberglass enclosure for my bimmer. Did you use fiberglass weave or chopmatte stuff? How many layers are you putting on?

Chopmatte and cloth ... alternating as I go. Be between 6-8 layers all over when I'm done.

You'll see pictures of the finished product as soon as it's done.

Live in lower-mainland BC? Nice work on the enclosure, I am working on one just like that for the Neon. I'll have a post up showing the work when I get done.
West Kootenay's.

Don't be an idiot like me and not use a mold release agent thinking it would be easy to pop the mold out. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

haha, already done all that jazz, WD40 works well, smells bad, lol. I am at the point where I have fleeced the ring in, and need to sand. But since my work area is at parents' and that is a 2.5 hour drive, it has to wait for the wkd. And... I need to buy a palm sander, lol

Sanding sucks.

Which is why I opted for a can of spray bedliner //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

lol, well i'm going for the smooth like glass look, so sanding will own me for a while. I figure if I going through the work to finally do some glassing, might as well do it the way I want the first time //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/satan.gif.9c6a335ed7aeeed3ee273e573f1fcaac.gif

Nice. I just don't have that kind of time / patience any more.

I can always sand it down and go body filler crazy later on if I want to.
