YAY Crystal SSCS6's. 16+ Pics!!

Ok, got them for $145 shipped. Came in perfect condition. Going to run them with my Diamond Audio 400.4 (200+wrms a side) when it arrives next week. I will also be crossing them around 90hz. Also got my Knukonceptz 4 gauge wiring kit in. $44 really cheap. Also the reason I took SOO many pics is because I haven't seen any other pics of Crystals, So now everyone can see them, always. They seem really sturdy, cast iron frame I'm guessing feels solid, good connection, seems like a solid set of components. Now onto my GALLERY of pictures.

i did. the crossover guts wasnt all great no attenuation. but looks great.

btw how many pixels did that camera have? pictures look clean, as well as the components.

3.1MP Kodak Camera...All about lighting.

The lower inductor coil has come loose on one side (glue come off board) so, that cant be good. I will send it back. Also, one of the push terminals are stuck and wont come loose. So a speaker and 1 for sure maybe 2 crossovers will be sent back. Brand new and this many defects? Hmm...lets hope to bs problems in the future. I am seriously having doubts about sending 200+ wrms a side.

Now I am told. since I opened crossovers, I have voided warrenty, so I can't send them back.

WTF it is a plastic cover that just pops off!!! They didn't take the time to glue the inductor down to the board and it's your fault?

Honestly you can just glue it back down. The push terminal is tricky. You can't just replace it. The tinsel would need to be resoldered. That alone may call for a recone......

I'd glue the inductor back on the board unless has lost a connection.

Looking at the pics, it appears the push terminals are held on with hex nuts. If they will come loose you could probably use a ring terminal to make the speaker wire connection there or even replace the terminal with new one. It's not an ideal way to do it but might be an option if they won't warrant the speaker.

Having said that, I don't see how the seller could say you damaged a push terminal on a speaker by removing the cover on a crossover.

No no no. I didn't void the push terminal by removing the crossover cover, they are two seperate issues. Apparently the crossover is "sealed" by Crystal..whatever that means. But you have to open them to mount them.

I see. Still seems shady that they won't take back the crossovers even though you have to remove the covers to mount the things. QC seems pretty lacking for such expensive components.

If you want to look into fixing them yourself, I found some JBL terminals at Apex.
