Yamaha 3 Wheelers?

My dad bought a Yamaha 3 wheeler a couple days ago. All he knows about it, is that it's a Yamaha and it's a 200. The guy, who sold it, didn't know anything about it. He said it was only good for parts, 'cause he couldn't get it running. My dad got it running, and says it's a running great, but it needs some parts, clutch cable, brake cables, and some wheel bearings. I'm wanting to find out some information on it, so I can order the parts. Anyone know where I can find information on Yamaha 3 wheelers in general?

If its running, just sell it if possible for a profit and save up and buy the one with an extra wheel
3 wheelers are useless for anything other than tearing up flat grass
That's pretty much what it'll be used for, and taking it down to the boat dock, and fishin' hole. We may just pull the motor out, and build a 4 wheeler around it. He bought it for $30, and says the motor is sound, so I think it'd be worth it.

Meh depending on the type of Yamaha dealerships you have in your area they may be able to help you track down some compatible parts for it. The cables should be easy to find, just need them to be a certain length, and the wheel bearings should be easy aswell. Have fun punching the old bearing out and pressing the new ones in

Seen waaaaay to many accidents on 3 wheelers to even consider owning one though....

I had a mini 3 wheeler as a kid. I raced it for several years until I got too big. My dad still has two a yamaha 225 and a kawasaki 2 stroke 250. The kawasaki is faster than most stock four wheelers. I dont find them any less safe than a four wheeler personally. Too many idiots riding them like a four wheeler was the problem. Hes looking at getting a couple new four wheelers so ill see if he will give me the three wheeler

I had an ATC250r and an ATC125m 2 years ago, the 250r was fast as hell in a straight line, but dangerous (250 2 stroke) and the 125m was more of a utility bike. Someone ended up stealing it and the only thing i got back was the engine and a destroyed wiring harness
