i have 1 6.5 now but i think it has problems do you think re can recone it and how much would it be for ust 1 new xxx 6.5, and do you think i could even fit thes in my doors with a little modification? and would they work with my rainbow crossovers and tweets? i was just wondering because i wanted to use some of these

No idea without knowing the available mounting depth in your door

Well, technically yes, you could use them on the Rainbow passive xover.

However, results probably won't be too pleasant given that the RE XXX mids are 2ohm and the Rainbows are presumable designed for a 4ohm speaker. This would result in the effective crossover point will be cut in half for the RE mids. So, if the passive was designed to have a, say, 2500hz crossover point for a 4ohm mid, then it would only be 1250hz with a 2ohm mid. Which will leave a large gap in the frequency response between the mid and the tweeter.

I'm not thinking the XXX 6.5 will help you there

If clean sound up to 3.5khz is your goal, XXX6.5's are not the way to go.
