XXX 15 tinsel leads

two tinsel leads are burnt in half, any value in the sub or any ideas what i can do with it? i had a hifonics bx2005d running it with the gain a little over half way so its a little confusing how this couldve happened

I hooked up a female disconnect to mine. I crimped/soldered it onto the terminal. Seems to work fine.

How did you determine the proper gain setting position? Setting it at the mid point may push it at full power, or even into clipping, depending on how hot the input signal is. Setting the gain at 'half' without addressing input voltage gives almost no actual indication of the amplifier's output.
