XXX 15" or 18"???

I have a Concept D2400A to power whatever I get, and I drive a '98 Civic Hatchback..

so i only have about 5 TOTAL cubes to work with... not subtracting displacement and port and all that.

i can get a deal on either the '03 XXX 18" or a dual 1.4 XXX 15"

With the space that i have available, will i see a big difference in SPL? I want it to be somwhat clear, but I want my car... absolutely stupid loud.

Will space limit the 18" to really shine?

the thought of an 18" sub in my civic is yummy //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif but if the sub wont even be effecient in such a "small" enclosure, i could buy the 15" i suppose

Go with the XXX 15". Make an enclosure around 4 cubes (NET)tuned to 30-33 Hz and u'll be dandy

Ditto.. XXX15" in a 4cu/ft @ 30~35Hz and it'll wang.

Is the Concept 2400A a good amp to push the XXX??

The owner of a local car audio shop told me that the 2400A, if bench tested, will not even put out 800w when strapped at 1 ohm.

i meant to say quad 1.4 ohm.

if i have the gains considerably high on the 2400, do i have to worry about hurtin the XXX?
