XP professional vs Vista

Hey guys just wondering...

I have a IBM thinkpad and it has Windows XP Professional on it, my new roomate has an extra copy of Windows Vista. Is Vista worth the upgrade or should i just stick with XP Pro?

so Vista has Kinks already...but if it is a real version of windows itll have automatic updates to work out the kinks...no?

I have been running vista home premium since release and haven't had a single problem.

i need to re format my laptop, i may find someone with a copy of vista just to see what its like for the hell of it, if i dont like it, put xp pro back

stick with xp pro....

for gaming, don't get Vista just yet, Too many driver problems for gaming

reasons why go vista :

- dual cores will ACTUALLY be used much more efficiently

-Gaming will improve (after they fix driver issues)

-better use of your video card

yeah id be getting premium....maybe this will be an excuse to wipe my computer totally and re do my computer..its getting filled with tons of crap...lots of stuff i dont need...and maybe ill load the vista.
