XM Radio and Sirius Radio?

Is there any difference between the two or no? Cause I plan on getting the Sirius Radio as my Kenwood X890 is Sirius Ready. The only real different that I saw was, is the XM Radio is $12.99 CDN and Sirius is $14.99 CDN per month. And also, I don't know if I posted this in the right spot or not. If I didn't, my bad.

Either works fine... sirius has howard stern/playboy channel and sports... which is real nice.

I was looking at getting the Sirius Starmate. It's reg $99.99 CDN and the guy is going to sell it to me for $74.99 CDN. So theres no real difference between the two then?

It all depends on your preference for programming. I've read reviews stating that Sirius was EQed from the source and it had the effect of a loudness circuit and that XM was truer to the source. Thy both have contracts for different sports, so if you want to listen to sports, look for the one that has the sports you want to listen to. I have XM. I've listened to the Sirius version of the XM channels that I listen to most and wasn't impressed. I think Stern is the broadcast equivalent of a circus sideshow, holds my attention for about 15 sec and then I move on, so that wasn't a selling point for me.

if you listen to sports then figure out which one plays what you like. if you like football go with sirus. i like sirus better but xm has better actual music if you ask me.

Sirius hands down.

It's actually Sirius that has less compression.

The rock stations are HANDS DOWN better, larger variety of sports, great entertainment stations.

XM is no longer 100% commercial free on the music side, but Sirius has stayed true to it. I prefer and have the Sirius and love the Metal/Rock selections. Better overall variety and Hair Nation ROCKS!!!!
