Xenon Vs halogen?

8K is not white light. White light is 5K. The most direct light is between 4300 and 6K on the 35W ballast. If you go with an 8K on a 55W bulb its strong enough to wash out some of the color and make it appear like its a 5-6K light, but most cars also have plastic headlight housing and the 55W bulb will melt the housing. I went with a 6K 35W kit and love it.

From what I read before I purchased my kit, HIDs are usually 40% brighter than stock halogens and are 3000-3400 lumens. Stock halogens are about 1000-1500 lumens on a good day.

Heres a good read:

Get HID's bro they are def worth the money. i get the slim ballast kit for 65 shipped. i have 5000k, 6000k, and 8000k in my cars now and i love them

If you can't afford the HID's go to auto zone and they have a book of headlight bulbs they don't carry in the store (can't remember the name of them) But they have a set the is equivalent up to like 8k and they can be had for under 30 bucks

HID's with slim ballasts and everything you need to install can be had from DDMTuning for $92 shipped. Thats if you need the error code eliminators. If not then its $72 shipped. By time you buy those bulbs and replace them you should have just bought the HID kit that has a life time warranty.
