Yea, so I got introduced to the world of the 360 today at a friend of mine's house, played fear, some capcom came where you shoot crap, and Halo 2 online. So now I want one, where can I get one for pretty cheap, and what do I need to look for? I know that I would probably want to download stuff too, I have a 58 inch HDTV, so do I need special cable for it like the Wii?

If you want new, they're all the same price in every store, core $299, premium $399. If you want used, I don't know. The cable you want to get is component, but the premium comes with it (not sure about core as I've never actually saw the insides of the package). If you get the new Elite (which is $480), then you can run HDMI which would likely be optimal for your setup.

craigslist..but make sure u get one without the rings...

I wouldnt buy a used one atm. If you do, make sure that it hasnt been banned from xbox live. There are probably several used consoles for sale after microsoft decided they were gonna start banning modded consoles from xbox live.

i always thought it was the ip adress from the modem that was blocked not the system itself..hmm i never thought of that one either

Some 360s got "the rings of death" which is basically when the rings on the front indicate your machine has a problem.

a high number of 360's(not saying all) are having a problem were it stops working and the power light turns red...used or new they all have the problem...even the elite is having issues with it

IIRC elite has 30 free days xbox live, so does the $399 360.

They also have the code in some games too.
