The first time my 360 got the RROD,i sent it to M$, got it back..everything was fine. ~8 months later it caught the virus again. Now my question is if M$ fixed it wtf would it get the RR again? Is it a temporary fix they do?

If it's a second time, I think they generally replace the entire thing. I think now they ask that you send in the power supply too, but I'm not 100 percent on that.

I went through 3 straight before I gave up and went to a PS3. All Microsoft does is have you send your's in and they send you a replacement which I guess was someone else's that was also sent in for repair. They most likely do it so you don't have to wait a long period of time for it to be repaired since they get in so many...

First sell it to me LOL and second they usally don't fix yours they send a different one, not always but most of the time. and then they fix or sell off the org. one and send it to someone else.

lol, imma try fixing it first and see what happens.

It is just the first batch which had this issue or do the newer ones with HDMI also get it? Luckly I got my first one with the first batch that came out when they dropped and never had a problem.
The new ones w/ HDMI are based on a CPU made on a 65 nm process (as opposed to the older 90 nm process) which is more effiicent and produces less heat. They are LESS LIKELY to develop an issue, but still do from time to time.

I thought it was a 45nm process.

Mine has had zero issues. The first was a dud I purchased around the holiday rush, so feh. Took it back to Best Buy within a week and have been fine since.

The PS3 has what..5 games out worth playing no other console has? I'm enjoying my Ps3, but it is a far cry from my preferred system.
