hi just wanted to know what is a x-over and subsonic filter and how should i set them both the x-over is for my highs and it goes from 40 to 400 and my ssf is for my lows anyone thanks

what amp is this? what speakers are you running? i never heard of a ssf going as high as 250 and as low as only 40.

sorrry i was guessing on my visonik v900xd because its in the shop right now getting fixed i didnt have it infront of me. so lets just stick to the 4 channel amp its a lightning audio running @ 2ohm and the speakers are 6 pioneers how should i set the x-over i really dont get what the ssf and x-over are for help please.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif also i did some reading on filters but still, little confused about it how to set it for a sealed box.

those pioneers probably won't like much below 80hz, and you should set the slope (if settable) as steeply as possible IMO. Your low pass filter should then play from 80hz and down. The subsonic filter is to remove low inaudible frequencies from your sub to prevent the amp from wasting wattage to produce sounds the speaker can't produce. It's probably not adjustable, and if it is, then sub type and box construction will largley determine where to set it.
