Wwe

You can find more detailed posts from me about this. They changed the sport and made it PG to broadcast on NBC. They stop fights way to early now.
If they didn't change it it never would have grown. Not only that they were losing fighters because noone would lose 4 teeth and break their right hand for 10k:laugh:

When I think of MMA, thats what I think of. When I think of WCW, I think of that charade they put on NBC once a month.

maybe thats just me...

people who watch wwe=complete failures
what does that make people who watch action movies with CGI graphics done in place of the actual stunt?//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif that is even more fake than WWE:laugh:

from 2000-2005 the sport almost died for the very reasons you say you like it. For a sport to grow you need to increase its fan base. Increase the fan base people make more money. I have watched the first 4 UFC's and some of it just turned my stomach. I do not want to see an unconscience guy get elbowed in the head/face 10 times after he is knocked out no more so than I like seeing what boxing had done to Ali. Its a sport not life and death for the ssake of entertainment

I stopped watching a long time ago, probably 10 years ago now....I realized that wrestling is a soap opera for men. Some of the athleticism is impressive, and the risks that some wrestlers take is daunting. However, watching it for a few years will show you the same thing over and over again, just with different players....and the stories aren't particularly logical, either.

I agree, the japanese flying knee stuff and the breaking of ankles on tv was too far, but I believe the pendulum has swong to far in the other direction to become more main stream.

I can agree with that same reason I stopped watching so often. Still keep up on it though about 1 time a month LOL

they do have gimmick matches like every couple months at ppv but usually it is just plane jane wrestling and the matches ****. Ecw Sucks ***, and smackdown isn't much better.

I hate TNA, it is the worst shit i have ever seen, the only thing good about it are the crazy moves they do and some of the gimmick matches they made, nothing compared to old WWE days though.

the WWE stinks. 'sports entertainment' is no sport no entertainment. I was a fan of the original ECW, guys who were real creative, took real risk and put everything on the line for a standing O. Wrestling highlight vids are the best especially spots gone wrong.

there are a ton of crazy matches the WWE has put on since the late 90's. I couldn't even remember half of the shit that happened when it was good. It was hardcore thenm the shit jeff hardy and mick foley did was just insane.

TNA actually from time to time pushes the envelope. Their story lines as of late have been more real to me, even though they are not.

Also the moves they did when they first started, were just insane!

AJ Styles was just something else.

Petey Willams has the most unreal moves! Shit like this wouldn't even fly in the WWE because they are too riskey.

I honestly think TNA will just keep getting bigger and will be on the level that WCW was at one time where in the ratings it was beating the WWE. Will never be the cash cow the WWE is, but will compete. Jeff Jarrett has done a lot of good, because I think that the WWE buying everything was just stupid! They need competition to come up with new and creative ideas to secure the viewers. So once TNA gets bigger and competes more for the ratings, I think stuff will be pushed again like back in the good days of WCW/WWE or F.

Stinks, yet McMahon has made millons upon millons and is one of the richest men on the planet. Please, let me find some of that stank! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

I do agree how ECW was the shit, but Paul E went through so much shit to keep them a float and just couldn't. Hell he eventually worked for Vince. The new ECW is crap though, seems even milder than Raw or Smackdown to me. I don't even know how they keep that alive with the people on their cards, granted they pull other superstars off smackdown or raw and put them on there from time to time.

wrestling is soo complicated nowadays, what ever happened to sting dropping from the rafters with his black bat?i quit watching when stone cold quit wayy back when the rock and mankind were big. the wrestling games are fun though

tna is losing, they are falling fast and i wouldn't be surprised after christian and booker t leave along with a couple others that they disappear and are no longer on television. The WWE still has had 10x better matches than tna since the late 90's and tna is starting to lose talent fast. they have so many guys who are a bout to retire and are in there 40's, JJ, booker t, sting, kevin nash, mick foley, and christian is leaving, the don't have much left after that. Nothing will ever beat the TLC and Hell in a cell matches the WWE has done, not to mention the Elimination Chamber and Buried alive matches and i can go on and on. As far as WWE goes, they have way less talent than a few years ago, but there are a few guys they have who are promising. Evan Bourn, Jeff hardy, John Morrison, and CM punk are so ready for some good matches, Vince just hasn't pushed them yet.

x2, the superstars in the WWE are capable, vince just won't push them to do it right now. ECW has absolutely no talent besides matt hardy.
