WTTF/WTB: 2000-3000rms Subs

First off let me say that my new sub stage will be played on a rockford T3000 that has a rms of 4900 @ 1ohm. I would like a pair of 12s but im open to ideas. I can trade what I have now or pay cash, local pickup in florida is a plus but not required. What I currently have to trade is 2 rockford t2 12s the alum face, a rockford t15001 1902rms@1ohm, a rockford t6002 roughtly 800rms@2ohm bridged, a rockford p4004, and a kinetik 2400.

Not as good as I need thats for sure. I have sock alt (80amp) big 3 with 0 gauge, yellow top under the hood and 3 kinetik 2400s in the trunk

the 3 kinetiks should hold up, you might have to get an alt if you want to bump for extended amounts of time

Isn't it the other way around?

Batteries do nothing when the car is running.. It's all up to the alternator to provide power while the car is running..

There's no way in hell an 80 amp alternator can charge 4 batteries

I thought the onle reason to add extra batteries is so you can bang while your car is off (and not have to jump your car after)

Yup I understand the need for a high quality battery.

Although, just for stock replacement. I see no benefit adding extras without at a minimum upgrading your alternator to 200+ amps.

OP, if you can tell me that those batteries actually make a different please enlighten me.

I have been running everything with no problems so far. had a t15001, 2x t6002, p4004 running. also have headrest monitors, interrior and exterrior neons, and more, lots of electronics and voltage stayed up. I never play the audio with the car off only when on. Getting a better alt would help dramatically but ive never found a big one for my corolla.

Thats good.

 

But, what I mean was, if you disconnect those 3 batteries in your trunk, do you legitimately notice a decrease in voltage or performance.

car instantly will drop under 10v and die if the other batts are not in running. with everything I have now at absolute full tilt i hover around 10.8-11.2

If so you're gonna kill your alternator in no time!!

Also, on topic.

Talk to SPLaudio and have him build you some beasts. He made me two subs from SA-12 motors and they easily take 2k a piece. He will make you whatever you need
