I'm the most indecisive mofo on the planet, and i run through setups every month....... well this time I'm trading my freshly reconed SS XXX15 (3hrs play time) for some 8s or 10s. I think in a trunk car I can get louder with smaller subs. I've never owned any 8s, so that would be interesting, but 10s are also welcomed.

I'm looking for subs that are readily availiable, not ones that I'd have to break my neck to find more of. Along the lines of: 1508s, Tru Bass Ultra 8s, E8s ( if you're adding cash or have more than 4), and 10s along the same lines. Power handling around 3-600 watts, and ohm load is open as I have room to run multiple and my mind isn't set on a certain number.

Pics are here

never even noticed that you replied, sorry....

here are some pics, as for power handling... box says 250-500 RMS but they have 8-layer flatwound 3" coils... 1Kw rms each wouldn't be a problem at all for these bad *** 10"s!!

10" Single 4 ohms Thunder 8500 Series Subwoofer

Impedance: Single 4 ohm

Injection molded, carbon-filled expanded polypropylene cone woofer with aluminum deposition

Stitched NBR (Nitrile Butadiene Rubber) surround

Die cast aluminum basket frame

ALDS (Asymmetrical Linear Drive System) with a flat progressive spider and extended pole piece for smooth, linear, piston like drive

Industry leading Spider Plateau Venting cooling system cools at the voice coil

Industry leading thermal power handling using 428°F High Temperature Flat Wound Aluminum Ribbon Wire

3" Single 4 ohms high-temperature voice coil

144oz. Magnet structure

Frequency response: 41-150 Hz

Sensitivity: 83 dB

honestly, I have no clue... these are still brand new in boxes, never seen power so I have no personal experience with them... I was planning a 4th order tuned to around 34-36 hz but never got a design so, they have just been sitting in my office... My Mach5 was about the same (fs 39.9hz) and I know it got low like a champ but...

I'll get back to you shortly. Got any 12s sitting around?
