Just want to change up sub stage. I have a first-batch logo-less SS Rl-p. I bought it from the original owner. It has the triple stacked 0.75" magnets. I had it in a 2.0 cube box @32hz, then switched over to a 1.2 cube sealed box to get my trunk space back. Well, I'm itching to switch it up and I've been wanting 8s for forever.
I've had the sub (still in my car) hooked up to my US Amps AX5600 5ch, sending about 450w to it, well under-powered. With the ported box it sounded awesome and was decently loud off the power available. I have a more SQ-ish system so I never beat on it. After switching to the sealed box, I got a lot of trunk space back (Mustang trunk(, but lost a lot of loudness obviously. I'm looking for a pair or quartet of 8's that can be wired to 1ohm. My amp puts out around 500 RMS @ 1 ohm, so I want to use all available power for the 8's. Looking for 8's that will do well ported, but I think 4 8's sealed would be loud enough for me too.
I REALLY REALLY want 4 Sundown E8s, so if anyone is selling 4, and wants to trade for my Sound Splinter that would be awesome. Or, I can sell my sub separately, but I need to sell it first. I'd rather not ship (Local Pickup PREFERRED), but I can if need be. Thanks everyone!
