I just upgraded to an Alpine CDA-7998 and need an amp to power my stock cabin speakers.

NOTE: THESE HU'S ARE DAMAGED BUT STILL FUNCTION AS IS:eyebrow:

READ BELOW

Up for trade is an Alpine CDA-7983/84. I say 83/84 because it has the 83 faceplate, cause I liked the silver face, and the 84 body, because I wanted MP3 playback. The cd's only load half way and then the faceplate starts to close???//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif I thought I may be the load motor from the forums and bought a new one from http://www.partstore.com and attempted to fix it to but to no avail. Got the top off, new motor needs to be soldered to the black/red wires, load roller, few small springs and the gears for the load roller. Other than that the cd player works great!! I currently have it in my car with my PSP/XM hooked to it.

Next I have an Pioneer DEH-P8MP HU for trade. My brother gave this to me to replace the 7983/84 till I could get an amp for the 7998 but my nephew accidently sat on it and bent the arms that tilt the faceplate. Not for sure what it cost's to fix this but I will call the Pioneer parts store and find out what this unit needs. It plays cds and the radio sounds great, it just needs a new 'Tilt Unit'//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif doubt thats what its called but I tried right!!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

All I am looking for is a nice 2/4 Channel amp to power my stock speakers that has enough power to not blow my current setup but have the power there when I upgrade. I would say $45+ Shipping for the Alpine and $70+ Shipping for the Pioneer OBO on both.

email addy is nodnarb82@gmail.com for those not members

Can send pics once I get my digital cam from my uncle.

Thanks

See Ref's below!!!

Just talked with a tech from Pioneer and she quoted me a price of $60 dollars for all 4 arms to get this unit in working order. Honestly I think someone with more patience than I could bend the arms back but thats up for you to decide.

Since its $60 for the arms how about $50 for the Pioneer HU. $50 + $60= $110 for a pratically brand new DEH-P8MP is a pretty good deal.

I have a profile CA200 (same as the AP400) 65 rms x 2 but I'd need to see pics of the alpine and maybe a little clearer explanation? Or I'd be interested in the pioneer if the other dude doesn't come through (actually that's the one I really want lol).

Sorry for the lack of response and no pics. Worked all day Saturday and Sunday on a few Win2k box's that suffered from the dreaded BSOD and had to troubleshoot them all and for the one that have done this you know what pain in the a$$ this can be.

Pics will be up tonight I promise!!!!

keefy248 $90 shipped is the lowest ill go on the 2 HU's. Let me know!

Mountaineer Man if the deal with keefy248 doesn't go through then it will go to you. How much would you be willing to sell the profile CA200 amp for shipped to 20743? Thanks

weel the sell on the pio is 100% gone just shoot the pics im trying to c if i could actually fixed the hu instead of buying parts since im a welder let me know asap got ur pm everything is everything lets make this happen

Here ya guys go. Sorry for the delay but better late than never right!!

Pioneer DEH-P8MP

Alpine CDA-7983/84 Plus parts that where taken out that need to be put back in. The unit is still in my car and functional as you can see. The ERROR in one of the images is what I get when I put the source on CD.

Again the Alpine would only load CDs half way before the face would start closing, so I bought a new load motor, which can be seen in the pic, to fix this but got started and didn't have the patience to finish it. Also the Pioneer's tilt arms are bent, as you can see, which twisted the plate that holds the faceplate. PM me with any questions. Thanks
