Whats the draw backs from using vinyl over real carbon?

this was a while back when he was trying to sell them on all the forums with out being vendor.I'll pm you my number?why put vinyl over carbon fiber?

I think he was asking about taking a basic cone and/or dust cap and just using a vinyl sticker on them..not covering carbon fiber. I could be wrong, but i think that is what he was asking.

Which the answer is if you just want the look and that is it...well then there ya go. Several companies use a similar method to that to give the appearance of a type of material being used.

cheaper when just covering a regular dust cap with vinyl than actually carbon fiber. I'd say carbon fiber wrapping is harder too.

maybe if he wanted just a normal dust cap sure. but he wants a giant inverted dust cap.which dont even think they make to often

When I say regular, I mean non-carbon fiber looking. There are many sources to get inverted dish caps. They just cost a little more than the *****. lol.
