Looking for a sub amp, prefer Sundown or American Bass (NO HYBRID!) but open to others. Need at least 1k @ 1 ohm, target is 1500. Would like to keep it under $400 but flexible. Some models I've looked at:

Sundown - SAE1000, SCV1500, SAZ1000, SAZ1200, SAZ1500, SAX1200, SAE1200

AB - VFL 80.1, 100.1, 120.1

Looking to make the purchase next week, can send via paypal

I have planet audio RXD2400 and MB quart RA2000.1.

I can do PA for $125 shipped and MB quart for 160 shipped. MB quart I've had for about a month, it's great, but I got my DD back.

PA calls for 175A fuse, RA calls for 200A fuse - if that matters to you. PM if interested.

I said Sundown because I have an SAX100.4 right now that I’m fond of. I’ve heard a lot of talk about AB and have considered giving them a try for a while now.

IF I go with anything other than Sundown, I will (more than likely) also be in the market for a matching 4 channel to go along with whatever sub amp I choose. This amp will have to have a true full range or crossover bypass as my setup is active using an MS8, and will need to be 100-150 watts per channel.

Vertex – I had thought about Phoenix Gold, but kinda leaned towards SD or AB. I’ve heard some good stuff about Ampre, but Im not real familiar with them.

Chipmunk – I’m npt much of a fan of RF. I’m not bashing them or saying theyre a bad amp, just my personal preference. I appreciate the offer, though.

fly_marlin – I had MBQ amps in a previous set up. I did like them, but I’m wanting to shift to something new. I had a PA amp in my wife’s car… actually 3 of them. All 3 crapped out on me. I understand their old school stuff is good, but I don’t know enough to really even tell the good from the bad. Thank you for the offer as well.

mylows10 – PM sent.

Brandon – PM sent.

SPLAudioHZ – PM sent.

Bossman – Thanks for the input and for giving s10 props. Ref’s are definitely good, even though I have none (long story).
