Sub stage SQ is more about application then product. All though I have been around SQ for....well lets just say "many years" I still snicker every time I hear SQ and sub(s) together....

Depends on your version of SQ in most cases.

I would put down money that they can both be SQ(ish) with a decent install. Heck, I made AQ's sound like they were SQ subs..if there is even such a sub as I personally do not think SQ subs exist.

Let me rephrase that a bit. I think there are drivers out there that many think are SQ because of what they view as SQ and yet others think something else. SQ is subjective and can not be put into an algorithm or graph or anything else. This is why no one ever agrees in this industry on SQ.

You can plot end users responses and come up with what you think will be a "catch all" setup, but that is just a marketing tool nothing more.

Yep, as always that is how it is with SQ. Personal preference makes that conversation a very hard one to have.

i mean look at the companies he listed on his list, incriminator, dd, etc. all great compnies but besides the flatlyne wouldnt say they are sq. prob the best sounding sub is the dayton. i think what most people want is a sub that sounds great but gets loud when your hear "most" people say sq

lol, i think its all in the install and enclosure relly. i have heard some l7's that sounded good in a perfect enclosure. thats where a system is truly made. hen the hoodrats wonder why my little single 12 is better then their 2 15's lol

Sorry I need a ten guys, its goin in my dads new f350, and he has a box inside his console for a ten he might be interested in that dd amp, or that boston one. Which idk if he has enough room to mount a dd, im pretty sure the box is .99 cubes, its some jl prefab, I tried telling him to take the **** thing out and build a box in the spot, but he wants it to look pretty...
