Looking for a small footprint, 2 channel class a or a/b amp that will put out between 25-40 rms per channel.

there is a few of the alpine duo-b amps on ebay. i even seen a 3527S on there pretty cheap. GREAT AMPS

As you can tell ebay is loaded with tons of old school, low power, sound quality amps.

Yup....hence the want for only a 25-40 watts per side. I am going 4 way active with the horns under the dash, oz tweets in the door tops (cover for mirror motors)/ A pillars for width, 2 sets of PG 5.25" zero points high in the doors (about same height as the horns) and 2 - 8" in each door for midbass, pair of 5.25 PG zeropoints in rear doors for fill. 2 - 15" Frankenwoofers behind the seat.

Now that I think of it there are often a lot of amps like that on craigslist too.

Good luck with all of that tuning! It'll be fun if you like that sort of thing...it will take a while to hone everything in just right, but if done right it can probably be really dynamic and sound good doing it.

That's why I got the Alpine W200 and PXA-H701!!!! Gonna do all the lil tricks too for the horns, like the pvc rounds on the mouth lip, and the reticulated foam in the mouth.

That should definitely help. I'm trying to keep it simple, 8" Morel MW-267's in the doors and a pair of 2" Aura Whispers in each pillar.
