why single channel. better off bridging a 2ch @4 ohms. not many 1 ohm stable mono amps in that power range.

I have ran well over 1500 rms through that sub and it took it like a champ, I think you will be safe using a lil more power than that.

you will not notice it. and will not reduce lifespan if you dont abuse it. your just wanting 500rms and it would be easier and probably cheaper to pick up a nice 2ch amp and run it at 4ohms bridged. if your wanting like 1k or more then i would probably say go with a class d mono amp that is 1 ohm stable.

thanks guys but i just bought the crunch pzi1000.1 for 125...puts out 1000 watts at 1 ohm. hopefully that will help me out

alright guys, so my crunch pooped out and now im in the market for a sub that will run at least 500 rms at 4 ohms, or a ridiculously 1 ohm stable. preferably under 150.
