unlocked wont work with verizon. I have already looked into it and had to buy a new phone from verizon.

When you say unlocked I would think you are meaning a GSM phone that requires a sim card but those wont work with verizon. They use a CDMA network, not a GSM. You might want to clear that up if you are needing a verizon specific phone. As for a CDMA phone you have to be careful not to buy one that is SOC-Locked. If they are then you can not use them with any other carrier than the one specified. If you try your text messaging and web browser and some other features will not work. Although you may be able to make and receive calls.

I do need one for Verizon. I thought it was a GSM network.
